I hate money. Money is only needed as a mean for posession. I would much much rather play music that made me happy, do what I want, and stay true to my beliefs and make $50 a gig than pretend Im someone I not, not be able to speak freely, and play bad usic for $500 a gig

^ well money helps with other things like food, clothing, rent....kind of neccesary to have money if you want the basic essentials to live you know, plus if you want to get a gig, you need good equipment, which costs money. break a string, yep, more money for more strings.

The point I was trying to makle is that I hate money. I know its a "necessity" but that doesnt change the fact that it causes more evl than good.

^no, money isnt the problem, it's the person who's using it that's to blame.

Yeah money is evil and i think i would do anything to banish it forever and make everything free but lets face up to it that aint gonna happen so if i was really poor and had nowhere else to turn i probably would. But when you do something yourself, it doesn't seem as lame as it is from an outsiders point of view. I would hate being slated by the press all the time though and also people reguarly dismiss GC as crap and talentless and i don't if i could take that kind of abuse. So, no.

Do you think the fanbase of GC is larger than those that dislike them?

I doubt it. i'm not going to deny that they have a large fan base, but there's still the rest of th world (well, those that are exposed to their music) that are either indifferent or dislike them, so I think it's more likely that overall there's more people that dislike/are indifferent than those that make up the fan base.

I don't think it matters to them very much though does it? They can just listen to the people that DO love them, and they're laughing all the way to the bank. Literally.

ya that's pretty accurate. I doubt that they care that there are people who dislike them, because enough people do like their music to make them a hugely successful band. I know if I were in that position I definitely wouldn't think about the people who don't like the music.
