Yeah, I remember back in 2001 (I was in, like, second grade), I was in love with Linkin Park (not obsessed though), and this kid in my class asked me the lyrics to one of their songs. When I told him that I didn't know the lyrics to that song, he made fun of me. I cried. When I got home, my dad asked me what had happened. After I explained it to him, I asked him what else there was to listen to. He put on a vinyl called The Lonesome Crowded West. And so it began...

Your dad had Modest Mouse on vinyl, that's awesome.. and here I can't get my father to stop listening to Sergio Mendes.

That album and Sad Sappy Sucker are the ones he owns on vinyl. He has all the rest of them on cd except for Good News For People Who Love Bad News, which I bought, and We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank, because we both agreed that it was mediocre after a run through it.
And HEYHEYHEY, I like Sergio Mendes. My dad loves Brasil '66/'67, so yeah. I have a large library-full of music on this computer (around 100GB) because of my dad's music, but I don't mind, because I listen to most of it.

Well not because I love them so much, but because he heard me listening to them and got turned onto the bands.

...Does that even make sense?

Default come on...

I agree that most of the bands on there are crap. But come on guys... A Day To Remember is as sick as it gets. There are a couple of good ones on this year's roster. Plus local bands etc, it's definitely not a "corporate rockfest"

I'm going to give my opinion on the bands I know well enough...

3OH!3 - I heard some of their work, they're pretty sick.
Anti-Flag - They BELONG on Warped Tour. That's just how it is.
Bad Religion - I don't even know.
Bayside - Amazing band. I got stuck in their Mosh Pit at Bamboozle.
Bouncing Souls - I don't even remember how I got into this band... I don't even listen to them much anymore.
Breathe Carolina - They're okay. You know how I was talking about that kid obsessing over music? He ruined the band for me.
Chiodos - amazing. Leave it at that.
Escape the Fate - They've always been amazing to me.
Flogging Molly - Eh. They're alright.
Gallows - I like them a lot. Although the lyrics are really weird.
I Set My Friends on Fire - Have you heard their "Crank That Calvery Boy"? Genius.
Jeffree Star = Love.
Meg & Dia - I've met them so many times, it isn't even funny. amazing band. Amazing music.
NOFX - I personally dislike this band's lead singer. But they too belong at WT.
Saosin -Good band overall.
Senses Fail - I absolutely love this band.
Silverstein - Some of their music just brings me back into times I'll never forget. Amazing.
Underoath - Good band.
Valencia - I forgot I used to listen to them a lot. [=

The only reason I give the Warped tour any thought is because of a select few bands, and because it was once a very skateboarding-oriented festival. I hate most of the bands on the tour.
