100 greatest punk bands list

God this is awful, I'll need to put my hand in a blender to start feeling things again. Apparently Bad Religion are greater than Crass... *slaphead* I bet this was a public vote wasn't it? Only people could be this thick

You've got to be kidding!! The Clash?? Number1! I don't think so. The Stooges should be there instead. I was actually surprised to see that they made it to #5. That entire list pissed me off.

Not a public vote, but a collaboration between posters and mods. Chemical Ali (rob, the editor), Dipsoid, Dreww and some others, I give my two cents every now and then, but because I'm not a real punk person no one ever listens to me.

I do agree that Bad Religion above Crass is lame.

And if you guys think this list is so bad, why not make your own? I think when it comes to rock subgenres its probably more logical to do a top 50 instead of a top 100. I surely don't think there exists 100 good punk bands let alone 100 great ones.

If we're talking greatness than no, The Clash deserves number 1. Being the first doesn't always make you the greatest.

If we're talking personal opinion then also no, cuz The Stooges are mediocre and The Clash are awesome.

there's some surprising inclusions on the list too... Heroin? I mean I like them, but...

i'm not really criticizing it, as it's quite a cool list. i'd be interested in seeing the criteria behind voting, but quite frankly can't be bothered cuz lists suck anyway.
