I'm an albini fanboy to the point of embarrasment.
I remember I bought this big black t-shirt off ebay that was never delivered.

....anyways racer-x is my favourite thing they released.

Perfect walkman music. It's always one of the few bands that I won't remove from my player when I change things around.

Big Black is a grounbreaking, classic band but I agree that Albini really found his sound with Shellac.

I'm gonna say "cables" is a good tune....I still use a walkman too and we cant can't forget Rapeman now can we... If your poor like me google " Big Black(album title) on blogspot" and yowsa, candy for the kids!!!! Sometimes touch and Go allow their tunes to be downloaded for free on these blogs but take em off after a few days or so...

Gotta disagree with this. I still think Big Black is the best thing Albini's done. Shellac, with the exception of At Action Park, hasn't really clicked with me. Don't know why. Just seems a bit dry. Rapeman's small output is pretty classic, but I still think it pales beside the abrasiveness of Songs About F*cking or Atomizer.

He's definitely engineered a lot of classic albums, though.

I love Shellac, I like Rapeman a lot... but Big Black are definitely my favourite Albini band.
