well, I am reading all these post related to anarchy and I just think that what All Night Dinah had to say was the one that made the most sense...it is only cuz the government came in there and told us what we need, and the true anarchists rebelled against that and faced the consequences of man, not nature....hell, if they never did that, who is to say that we couldn't live with out government?
I look more at the simple things in life...like legalizing marijuana and not being forced to get your cat fixed and taxes, and social conformity, and public schools, and stupid laws like tax fraud and so on.....
I mean, why do the government have to have complete control?
I could see why we may need DIRECTION in some areas, but told what to do?
Well, then just march me into the meat grinder!!!!!

the only consequence the anarchists would experience in that kind of a wild fantasty situation is death, famine, and total chaos. There's obviously many areas where government should have no jurisdiction. But the important ones, like public services (which would require taxation, i dunno where you get off thinking we could do without it), food and land distribution, health care, commerce, defense- you still think we can do without regulation in those areas? You have to realize that eventually there would be a group that would come into power, and it would happen all over again. Millions and millions of humans are simply biologically incapable of living together in harmony, respecting each other's well being, without some written boundaries. If I wanted to take your land, I'd go in there and shoot you and have your land. If someone else wanted it, they'd come in and shoot me. And so on. If by anarchy working, you mean living in chaos and vulnerability, then by all means go ahead.
it's a bit more complicated than just "ooh anarchy! punk rock! sex pistols! yey!"

Yeah, I have that patch too (the swastica one).It's an ARA patch . Says "Keep America Beautiful" on it. I also have a shirt with the same thing on it, but it says "Trash Breeds Trash" 3x in a circle around the picture. Cool.

yeah, my X husband was a member of the Brampton Chapter of ARA until it disbanded in 1997.....
mine dosent say anything like Keep America Beautiful or anything...one reson is, I hate America....well, mainly Bush....but don't we all?

one of the few things America has going good is the abundance of beautiful sites. Unfortunately, I live nowhere near them, 'tis sucky to say the least. And, that is a terrible reason to hate America. And, no, not everyone hates B*sh. I personally don't have any strong animosity towards him specifically.
