Default musician's other projects

Sometimes artists move on from their original outfit and do some other projects that are just as good if not better than the band that got them on the map. for instance, johnny rotten and PiL; Ian MacKaye from teen idles to minor threat to so much more including Fugazi; Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros; danzig; jello biafra and the melvins/mojo nixon/DOA/nomeansno/noWTOcombo; dez and project 1950; kathleen hanna and julie ruin/le tigre. What are some of your favorite side/new projects, some that people might not be aware of and so forth?

i dont think any of those you mentioned above were considered side projects except for Jello, but i get your point....

LARD is really good - Jello with Minsistry...
I really like everything Mike Patton does - Faith No More/Mr.Bungle/Fantomas/Tomahawk

^ I guess what I meant was projects that they did besides the ones they are most commonly known for. But yeah I like anything jello and mike patton did.

The fact that it's obscure means probably not.
