The Pixies vs Nirvana

I didnt know about either band till last year but i heard a lot of tracks from both. the Pixies are cool but i would listen to Nirvana more.

Pixies by far for me. There is nothing wrong with Nirvana other than the extreme popularity they happened upon (not exactly a bad thing in many ways) but The Pixies are just a superior band.

Also, prefer Alice In Chains in terms of"grunge" bands.

Nirvana, though seen the melvis drummer dale over here in aus with phantomus was one of the best concerts evere, great drummer he is dale

I really do like them about the same. I think, as an adult, I do prefer The Pixies. As a child though - I did grow up and begin really listening to music in the nineties, and my mother always had a Nirvana cassette tape around.

Nirvana have so much nostalgia attached to them, I'd never be able to write them off completely. The Pixies are great, but I never really listened to them until I was 18 or 19, so they've not got as much history and good memories attached to their music.

i doubt which one is better, i thought nirvana with their history and innovations, then pixies with their great and deep music and at last i think that they are at same level.
