While I'm not really known for much Punk, I do enjoy some.

My first punk band was a band called The Threats. Media Blitz, I believe, was the name of the song I heard. Great stuff.

The Clash's self titled album did it for me a few years back. I was in a pub and the place was blasting White Riot, and it gave me a rush like no song had before. I asked nearly everyone in the staff to find out what song that was, who it was by and what album it was from. I finally got the answers after the third or forth person I harassed, and bought it the next day! As a result, I was hooked on the Pistols, Sham 69, the Damned, the Jam, Ramones, Dead Boys, and such.

I was in elementary school and my sister got a mixed tape of punk/ska for her birthday from a friend. I stole it the next day and wouldn't give it back. I have no idea who the bands were, but that was the beginning. Then when I was in my mid-teens, I started going to all ages shows and it was a local band that got me hooked. Since then, my tastes have diversified a good deal.

Propagandhi, A Wilhelm Scream

I was a sophmore in High school (not too long ago) and my friend was way into NOfx. I had heard a little bit of punk stuff and what it was about but when he showed me this stuff or actually just listened to it while i was around i was instantly hooked. He hated the fact that i liked it because at the time i was pretty much into just modern indie, but searching into punk at the record store and asking around about bands really broadened my musical taste. i think now my friend accepts the fact that i actually like it.
