Honestly, I have to say Guns N' Roses. From there I found Ozzy, than Sabbath, than the Beatles (dislike them), and from there my favorite band Led Zeppelin. It just continued like that, and I'm still getting more bands thanks to this site.

Bad Brains

I was a young metalhead when Quickness came out and so I bought the tape. I was already into thrash and I had heard a lot of Dead Kennedys, the Exploited, Suicidal Tendencies and a lesser known DC band, Black Market Baby, on the school bus but Bad Brains' tight sound got me hooked with the quickness. I worked backwards from there

The son: Rancid - Red Hot Moon
First legit punk song I heard consciously, still my favorite Rancid song.

I think I got interested in punk when I was like 10 and read that skateboarders like to listen to punk in some skateboarding picture book.

First punk band I ever listened to was The Clash. "I'm So Bored With The USA" was the most badass thing I had ever heard.

A little too inconsistent overall for me to call it a truly brilliant bum, but Johnny Thunders & the Heartbreakers got me properly started on punk rock.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.
