Been really into this band called Arctic Flowers lately. They're from Portland and they have a real raw kinda feel to them. They also seem to be pretty good people from the little bit that I've chatted with them. Can't really find any videos on YouTube, only some live stuff with bad quality.


here's the best I could find.

I think they're worth a shot. Let me know if you want to try them, they have a 3 song demo out that's pretty hot.

great band....i recently watched a documentary on minutemen and they actually lived in the same building and shared the same practice space with the guys from Saccharine Trust

wow....that was like free jazz punk....kind of reminds me of the first time i heard Dillinger Escape Plan's Calculating Infinity....except i was thinking...i bet these guy love Coltrane....

Yeah, I actually got that album on Jackhammer's recommendation a couple years ago and it's really quite fantastic. One of those albums that always ends up on my iPod.

Although This Heat leans more toward avant garde and post punk, they always remind me of Crass on the level of their anger and disdain, although theirs leans more toward desperately beautiful and Crass is more military and just pure anger and noisy without being as melodic as This Heat. This Heat can somehow fuse lots of noise and beauty and make some ****ing amazing music
