Been listening to them OBSESSIVELY lately. Peepshow is definitely one of their best albums...

Bump.

Probably my favourite band at the moment. I've had The Scream and Kaleidoscope for a while; with the latter being particularly good, but have only just recently delved further into their back cataloue. Juju and A Kiss in the Dreamhouse are insanely good, and Tinderbox is slowly shuffling its way up my list of favourites too.

They were such a consistently great band, and definitely one of the most sonically interesting to emerge from the post-punk movement, which is a strange thing to say in itself.

"None of the bands today are as good as Siouxsie and the Banshees at full pelt" - Morrissey

Anything that Morrissey approves is probably good. Enough said.

Siousie Sioux? Yesplz.

They're an astounding goth band, and an amazing punk band in general.

They are a top classic goth/punk band I always thought them to be more 80's goth. Don't matter still a good band.I wish I had bought some of their music.

Listened to Juju last night and it wowed me. John McGeoch's guitar work here is brilliant but every band member makes a distinctive contribution aswell, Severin on the bass, Budgie with drums and obviously Siouxsie Sioux. That's the first album of theirs I've listened to and I hope I'll feel the same about the others.

so much love for them. siouxsie is a goddess.

I think The Scream is a great album and also love Join Hands which I remember reading several times, as being regarded as a poor follow-up album to the debut.

Sioux 's voice is now a shadow of what it was , she still looks amazing , unlike Lydon who is a complete parody . I grew up with listening to them from 1978 to the last album . Her voice has that tone that still sends chills over my skin , they called it a day just about correct in my opinion , the UK charts were full of bands that looked as if they had wandered in from the street , the Banshees had nothing left to prove , they were in effect treading audio water.
