Grunge is certainly alive and well, but more and more it's crossing over with other genres.

Nothing could be considered grunge, but they're also arguably shoegaze.

Diarrhea Planet (arguably a pop-punk band)

Donovan Wolfington (also more on the pop-punk side)

It's actually a pretty cool time for punk/grunge right now.

For some reason, my device is not allowing me to play these recs :(

I agree though.. I actually enjoy grunge more now than I used to (which is saying something), now that it has evolved into being a bit more eclectic than it used to be. It's also nice to see grunge influence other genres as well; IMO, it brings some nice elements to the table.

Same band as Superheaven. They changed their name from Daylight.

Yeah, I actually learned that after posting. I hadn't heard any other stuff by Superheaven.

I don't know if they can be classified as a Grunge band. Maybe not. But there is something in this song that reminds me of Nirvana.

Well they do label themselves as dreamgazegrungepop

A very high precision definition!

I'm sure this was already mentioned considering this is like a 5 year-old thread (brand new member), but isn't grunge like not punk? Like isn't Alternative?

Grunge is a kind of hard style of music to do. I really hope that there is new Nirvana coming

That's because it wasn't very memorable IMO. I've only given it one listen from start to finish though. (Disclaimer: Sometimes my opinion changes with multiple listens.)
