i think it mainly has to do with the opening bass line....and its one of my favorite lyrically

It does for sure have a great bassline.
Really I love their whole discography, but it got a little ruined towards the end when the band wanted to start playing more complicated music. I read Ian say somewhere that the band was kind of at odds at the end because they were good musicians who wanted to branch out .. but he didn't know how to sing to it.

Seeing Red,12XU,It Follows,Think Again and Cashing In.
Also Good Guys (Don't Wear White) is a great choice for the poppier side of punk.

Almost every song they've made!
"Good Guys (Don't Wear White)" is pretty cool though, that deserves a special note.
Also "Out of Step (With the World)."
Damn good songs.
