oi!

So, I couldn't find a thread on Oi! I'm by no means an expert on it, but it's my favorite genre of punk, and considering there's nothing on it so far, here's my best shot.

What is it? Well, here's the wikipedia article (LINK). Like all things wikipedia, this is the aggregate opinion of the masses, so it's both worthless and informative. If I had to describe Oi! in a terse manner; Oi! is the opposite of prog-rock.

No Sham 69? No Sham 69. Never really found them too entertaining. Go figure.

OI was just another genre that was dreamed up by the record labels. Sham 69 were not an OI band , in time they were classed as an OI band , then we had the Rejects who were hanging on the coat tails of Sham 69 . Then we had all the generic skin groups who jumped on the bandwagon
