either way...Parade of the Horribles is probably one of my all time favorite punk rock songs....and certainly my favorite by Circle Jerks...but Group Sex just simple does no wrong at all
Yeah me too. And I agree. I just so happened to be listening to Golden Shower of Hits at the time.

Oops, you're right. I've been thinking it was a singles/demos comp or something for all these years.

I lean more towards their debut myself, but they're both really great, and London Calling has some really memorable tracks.

I feel weird about London Calling. One the one hand, it's a great pop record with memorable songs that stick in your head for years, and a solid 8/10 (sorry, but the second half of the second disc is just dull). On the other, all those "experimentations" on the album just end up feeling shallow. Like they just threw some random bits of different styles of music onto some punk influenced pop in order to give them some more flavor, but the experimentation just feels skin deep. Catchy as fuck, but over rated.

I rate the debut at about a 8/10, London Calling bores me for the most part, probably a 6/10. I will say the 25th anniversary edition with the Vanilla tapes, the original recordings without filler was better then the final recording. The debut will always be my go to Clash, its their best record by a long shot.

i have to admit....i've never been a fan of The Clash....i don't complain about them being on....but at the same time i don't think i've ever said "hmmm let's put on a Clash album"

i do love that Sex Pistols album though

I digs me some Clash, but I do find it hard to get over just how preachy and annoying the are. No one cares about your pinko politics assholes! You haven't accomplished anything with your sanctimonious bitching except inspire generations of like minded whiners and self deluded angry teenagers without a clue. So yeah, thanks for that you fucking fucks. But on the other hand, "White Riot" is absolutely ace!

Edit: I'd say the same about Crass, but I've only heard one song by them, which was "Mickey Mouse Is Dead". Of course, that song ****ing blows, so I am dubious of their quality beyond just more sanctimonious bitching.
