Lou Reed is another guy who could fit anywhere. This one finds him in 1978.

He sounds like David Bowie singing Bad Company lyrics; parts of it sounds like Roxy Music.

^Yeah, he was such a big influence on Bowie and Roxy, that he must have felt a little entitled to take a little something back. As far as Bad Company lyrics, he lifted the whole title!

I understand bands like REM and Sonic Youth site VU as an influence, but I don't think Lou Reed and VU was an influence to all bands inbetween them (VU and those bands.) I think it's a shame Roxy Music doesn't get credit for what they did and VU gets credit for everything, even for bands that haven't been influence by VU and Lou Reed. VU fanboyism is The Beatle fanboyism of the underground music / Alt Rock world.

I would describe it as "sick".
