i dont really like them all that much, but you have to give them credit for bringing punk to the masses. sid was kinda ***, considering he was in a band called the Flowers of Romance.

No punk was being brought the masses by other bands it was just them.Though they did a great deal.

One band can't be sited as "putting punk on the map" it's a collective of bands.
