Never heard of him but from what I've read in this thread, I never want to listen to his music. Throwing and Eating Poop in a live show? WTF IS WRONG WITH THAT DUDE?

GG Allin music is not very good, even in the sloppy lo-fi bad taste deliberately ****ty punk genre.

And I don't really care about the guy.

i admire his audacity he seemed like a true anarchist which is not exactly a good thing but at least he committed to it lol

What i heard from his music though is not very good it seemed very half assed made with lots of spirit but no talent.

I dont think GG was ever really about the music. I personally wont attend a show where getting struck with feces is a distinct possibility. The guy had guts though.

There's a lot of GG's stuff I like and don't like. And I liked Carnival of Excess a lot. Seemed like he put more into it than he normally would.

Great album, probably the best he ever did.

I can handle a total lack of talent if that person has something interesting to say.
He didn't.

If I want to be entertained by shit being thrown around I'll go to the monkey enclosure at the zoo.

In fact those monkeys would probably make a better punk album too.

^ I agree.

...and for that alone I, at least, respect him.

Considering the time, the place?
Amazing. It's what PUNK (I think) is all about.

Gee whiz, who mastered that track?

Easily his best, and I like a few of his punk albums, but it had excellent musicianship (if you're open-minded enough to appreciate country), and his lyricism is significantly more mature, even if as graphic as ever, than on previous releases.
