Oh, and if you dig that brutal, 90s metalcore thing, then I highly recommend Arkangel. I'll rep them to anyone who will listen. They only do the one thing, but it's a damn good thing. I had to go to powerviolence to find bands more brutal.

I've been listening some powerviolence recently (mostly sludgier ones like Cave State and Weekend Nachos) but I really can't seem to figure it out. Yeah, it's energetic as it gets in punk, and I love it, but it just gets kinda stale afterca couole songs and I need to take it in small doses. It's probably best in the live setting but is there something I'm missing/not noticing?

And thanks, will check out the rec soon.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

For the longest time I didn't even like grindcore past some early stuff like Terrorizer, and the odd Pig Destroyer song, then all of a sudden a few months ago the flood gates opened and now nothing but the most abrasive powerviolence will do, and I can listen to it for hours. I have no idea what switch flipped, but it was one hell of a switch.

What are you missing? **** if I know. I don't even know why I like it. It's just so intense that I can't help but suck it up like semen from God's dick.

I do not understand that reference, but I still approve of it.

Of course I do, being a fan of both LoC and Choking Victim.

I swear Ezra Kire has a million side project bands lol

MG is miles ahead of LoC in terms of awesomeness imo. A much more diversified palette and Ezra is just a generally awesome dude, while Stza is a giant bitch.
