haha, I love this analogy.

New Found Glory is just way too cheesy for me. I hate those extremely whiny vocals. There's a few whiny vocals I can still tolerate, but NFG goes too far.
Also I hate the lyrics.

Yeah, I remember listening to them for the first time in 2007. I was listening to Kiss Me. I found Jordan's voice to be very annoying... so I never bothered to listen to them. Years go by, and I am suddenly a huge fan of pop punk - I giggled at your description of punky pop - and those guys become one of my all time favorite bands. I had 20k NFG plays on last.fm.
