New wave & Post punk

Recently i've been listening to alot of New wave and thus i made this thread to discover more of it. it's hard for me to discover new songs in this genre without a reference so feel free to share any good songs you know in this genre.

Any variation of New wave is welcomed, Coldwave, Black wave, minimalistic wave, whtvr you call it, if it sorta sounds like new wave post it here.

Psy-Fi 09-01-2015 06:29 PM

I did as soon as i saw him. :p:

I don't remember any tracks from him but i remember his appearance. i liked the song, it sounds like a song from a creepy kids show character.

Their debut album, "Spring Session M" (which has Walking in LA on it), is pretty strong. I definitely recommend it. :thumb:

Anyway...

Gotta have some dynamite. A great big jump from The Clash and didn't miss a beat.

Im surprised this band is labeled as new wave, that sounds like an old beatles song with a bit of a post punk edge.

^new Darkwave

Black Francis 09-21-2015 07:45 AM

lol is that really their name? Kiss the anus of a black cat? that's frickin genius :p:

The only modern Dark wave group i know is the Lost Sounds.

bob. 09-21-2015 09:19 PM

yes :)

i guess it has to due with medieval witchcraft

Actually this album was a leap from their original albums.....the original albums were very much Neo-Folk whereas this one he really started to experiment....still concentrating on existential despair and the Apocalypse

i think you and i have very different ideas as to what "darkwave" is....either way i loved that Lost Souls song....i'll have to check out that album :)

Black Francis 09-22-2015 01:24 PM

Indeed we do but neither of us is wrong. Lost sounds is labeled Dark wave and so is KTAOABC. (Damn, even their acronym is a mouth full)
