bad religion kinda has a bit of pop punk going for it...only thing that sets it apart is the sacreligious messages in the songs and....errr the band name

The Methadones, Groovie Ghoulies, Bouncing souls, The Broadways, Enemy You,Four Letter Words, Peelander Z, Guttermouth, International Noise Conspiracy, J Church, Randy, Screaching Weasel, The Soviettes, Petrograd, The Queers, River City Rebels, Tsunami Bomb, Lawrence Arms, and The Vandals are among some of my favorite pop punk bands

The name of a band and the subject matte of which they sing about has absoulutly nothing to do with the type of music they play. After the 1980s bad Religion turned to pop punk.
