Tool is good, they'd be better if they had a less cringy vocalist though. Slipnut's whack.

Probably.
He isn't even that bad but he makes the music sound like lame, generic alternative rock and **** that.

He sings like a dudebro at a karaoke bar. When I saw them play, that was amplified because all of the stupid ****ing Tool fans decided to turn it into a goddamn singalong session. Good thing that had a crazy visual display.

Listening to them rn.
If he would shut up the music would indeed be 5 times better already.
I also wish the guitar tone was a bit cooler.

That came out wrong. I didn't mean to say that music is worse because it's old or something.

It seems like once they had major mainstream success, they became lightning rods for hate. A tale as old as time.

Which is lame considering venues like Gilman used to book bands Green Day, AFI, etc. specifically because they drew a large enough crowd to pay the bills.

Basically, you make money for them and it's all good. You make money for yourself and you get on the banned list.

Right. You stay with the person who brought you to the dance, or you go home.

it's just if you liked their mediocre punk, you might be upset when what they play isn't really punk anymore

OG fans lose interest when groups change their sound for a mainstream audience and they have a right to that

Sure they technically sold out but how many people even know of their first two albums. Dookie was their first major label release so...

Well...actually idk tbh. I had one.
