Just one more left to toss overboard.

My first gig?

It was Hollywood undead (I didn't go for them), 10 Years, Sick Puppies (I went for them), and Blue October was the headliner. I took off before October took the stage.

My dad took me to see Roy Orbison in the mid 80s, when I was 8 or 9. The Crickets opened (as in Buddy Holly's backing band). At the time I just thought it was cool to go to a concert, but now I think it's pretty neat that I got to see one of those original rock 'n rollers before he died.

It was quite a memorable introduction to punk shows! I stayed out of the pit and hung back at the bar with a friend, drinking beer and avoiding the carnage. The three other people I went with all jumped right into the pit for most of the show. They all came out battered and bruised... one came out with a bloody nose, and one came out with blood smeared on his shirt (someone else's)

I managed to find a flyer from the show...

Good times!

*flashback*

11 or 12 years old at a local amusement park and saw this killer rock band play in front of maybe 75-100 people. About a year later I started hearing one of the songs they played that day on the radio, and the rest is rock and roll history.

Whenever I see a pic of Aerosmith they always have some weird-looking expressions that seem to be directed towards how much Steven Tyler looks like a transvestite. In this one they seem to be embarrassed.

I love old Aerosmith, but there does seem to be a trope about their band pics and the members having weird expressions directed toward Tyler.

First concert I attended was Rush 2112 tour in Kansas City, May of 1976. I was 5 yrs. old. I went with my older brother and his girlfriend. They were 18 yrs. old.

Two months later my second concert was Kiss in Kansas City for their Destroyer tour with the same brother and two of his best friends.
