Honestly Idles are kinda cool but they sound more like they're filling a trend niche than breaking any new ground. They're not so much blazing any trails as carving a new corner in rock music's slowly burning effigy and nobody will remember them in five years.

Widespread recognition has always been pretty important to me, so I'll let you know.

Elphenor thinking that people only like Idles because they're new is just him projecting his boomer ass reasons for rejecting them though.

Or their fresh, meticulously modern sound doesn't mean they have memorable songs. The singer's pretty cool though even if he still comes off like a gimmick where the band wanted to offset their slick, new age punk sound with the oi!est singer they could find.
