This got on MTV? Neat. There's definitely an alternate universe out there where extreme metal and hardcore became surprise darlings after everyone summarily rejected post-grunge.

If elphenor was a true punk, he would not only be able to recognize punk's influence on thrash and extreme metal, but he'd be able to dictate where punk excels in those categories where metal fails. It's right there in the handbook ffs.

As much amazing **** as they have I still think that a **** ton of lineup changes may have obscured Napalm Death as potentially the perfect extreme metal band. Excuse me I mean extreme punk band.
