Why would I want to listen to mediocre punk with boring lyrics? At least this stuff has its own peculiar atmosphere to immerse yourself in. Take this song. It's got a chorus so inflammatory that I can't help but crack up at just how ridiculous, not only the music is, but my own life at the current moment that I'm listening to it. I wasn't sold on No Remorse's second singer, but he's grown on me, and goes well with the more hard rock direction of the second half of their career. And this song makes me want to ride on top of a Panzer IV rampaging on the Russian steppes during Operation Barbarossa.

@Mondo - I listened to most of this **** today and I have never been able to get into much Norsecore black metal, even a lot of the **** it influenced. But Folk**** is phat as **** at least. Reminds me of Hail Spirit Noir on steroids.

And Drudkh (and pretty much all groups spawned from them), definitely have a sound all of their own. They're more often about forests and stuff lyrically but still dabble with Ukrainian pride and heritage.*
