Not because their music is half-assed? I've never seen a direct quote from any NOFX member about capitalism. Probably because their logic is a little bit deeper than "**** the corporate world diy or die troo punx etc".

lol, you are so punk.

How did they ever sell out? They have remained on a indie label, had little to no mainstream backing and achieved everything they got on their own through hard work and dedication to their music. Sure it may be half assed as said, but in the end they made a name for themselves coming from nothing.. to this day they are still spit on and having things thrown at them, and they still do it.

also, who cares where they sell their merch at, I am sure Fat Mike is not sitting around saying "hey, lets sell to hot topic", they do not see any money from that anyways.... I would like to see your source on this one anyways...

They also just made CD's $10 and under on the site, selling lower and making less so they can promote other artists and get them out.

Also, how is Warped "capitalist".... god forbid some bands wanna tour and you know... work. If up to you they would just have to sit around and do nothing cause some little punk thinks it is "capitalist". Bull...

Yeah man...I only buy NOFX shirts at second hand shops. After other people have bought them at Hot Topic, then read this post and realized what tools they were.

So punk.

I don't think you quite understand how businesses work.

Or Law Enforcement
Middle Eastern politics
The concepts of fascism
or pretty much anything else they've posted about today. Like I said in the shoutbox, it's like a 15-year old just got their hands on Zeitgeist and now they think they're an intellectual.

That actually made me laugh heartily.

I got into my brothers' music when I was 11-12, and NOFX was one of the first "punk" bands I really enjoyed. I still listen to them for nostalgia's sake, but they are certainly not my favourite lyricists or musicians. I saw them back in '06 and they put on a pretty great performance, considering Fat Mike was ****faced by 2pm. When I got into NOFX, it opened my ears to different ideas, attitudes, and a very wide genre, so even though they're not the most talented, they certainly still are an inspiration for many people, and I can't say there's an entire album I didn't like at least a few songs by them. My most consistent favourite songs have been Lower, Decom-poseur, Linoleum, August 8th, and The Decline.

I listen to quite a bit of NOFX. I like a lot of their songs, but I couldn't stand most of their debut stuff from the first few years.

Punk Rock is a Hot Topic.

Saw NOFX not that long ago, they put on a fun show as well. Wish some clips would pop up on Youtube already.

Guitar Hero? EA Sports? Pretty big names actually. Just because they stay on an indie label does not mean they can not sell out. They have 4 really good records IMO the rest of their **** sucks.
