Well I disagree I think their early stuff is hardcore. I think they just progressed with the genre and as a band. And that post was all I wanted. An explanation of why you think what you think. I don't really care if your opinion differs from mine just as long as you have logical thinking behind it.

meh, to me, what i think of hardcore, their earlier stuff just seems like untamed punk before the produceres really got ahold of them... and i dont really care if your opinion differs from mine either dude

Black Flag were one of the first hardcore bands in the USA. This is fact.

Now, this argument really needs to stop.

I'm not talking about your argument specifically. The same thing has gone on the whole way through this thread, it's totally tiresome.

Well that's an unanswerable question in terms of actually knowing for sure but I would put my money on someone like Middle Class who released that Out of Vogue EP back in '78.

Also, i'm considering making a bit of a Black Flag compilation of some bootlegs, demos, my personal favourites along with bands with a similar sound or are related somehow to Black Flag. Once I finish the playlist i'll upload it so you fools can download it.

Unfortunately, most hardcore today is metal based.
