Partly right, and just because a band considers themselves something doesn't make them something.

yes...but "in theory" and "partly right" are much different than actually being right. And I love how you "shut the door" in my "unwelcome face". Mainly because it's one of the few posts you've ever made that's actually somewhat intelligible. Correct senetence structure is your friend!

when it comes to many bands that go around calling themsevles punk now.. i would agree with you. but back then when Black Flag came out they were in fact punk.. when hardcore came to be a spot in music then i guess yes it did make sense to stick them in a off genre of punk.. makes sense.. but they were a punk band.. please stop letting me say this over and over.. (if only i wasn't so bored i could sleep)

So basically any hardcore band calling themselves punk is punk? I'd better go delete half the bands in the emo education thread then.
