I saw them on the tour they did to promote Dreamtime. They were still rather good live. The song "Big In America" from that album sounded goood live.

Usually Aural Sculpture is cited as the last worthwhile album but I really don't get it, I think it sucks. Bland 80s pop... The title track of Dreamtime is pretty good, AS has nothing that comes close.

For me Feline is the last true Stranglers record.

The best post-Feline track for me is this solo track from Hugh

That's lovely. I also like this version which some guy did on his computer. Featuring Shane Gillis on the drums

They are really the one band that speaks the most to me. Rude, melancholy, partly French, sophisticated, eclectic stylistically and in their references... They don't make 'em like that anymore.

This is a song that could only have been recorded in the 20th century. Not only because the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991 but because no one is curious enough about other cultures to actually go into the trouble of mocking them.

Here's a recent upload of another cover of "Golden Brown." The song sounds like a natural fit for this musical medium...

Very nice though not one of my favorite covers. Sounds too much like toy music, doesn't convey the song melancholy. Though overall really neat

Anyway this one is stuck in my head right now, probably because A Flock of Seagulls took their name from it and there's a Flock of Seagulls/Trump meme going around right now
