Pretty solid punk influenced rock for today, extremely fun to see in concert as well.

They definitely don't really deserve to be taken seriously, I don't think they try all that hard to sound serious, they just seem like they're trying to have fun with the songs.

I'd compare them to Mighty Mighty Bosstones but with irish folk influence instead of carribean.

I saw them (DKM) is a small hall. It was the loudest concert I have been to since the Ramones (long time, many concerts). My ears weren't right for a week.

Great band, great fun, great live act and great memories of getting smashed and acting like a twat. That's usually all I ask for from musicians and they have it in spades. Not too fussed about the seriousness, there aren't many bands I take seriously that I like anyway.

No less serious than most enjoyable musicians, no?

Personally I enjoy Dropkick Murphys, they are fun to rock out to, and pretty good live

DKM & FM are not really punk. Just irish (irish-american) music played hard and fast. It works for me. Maybe it is punk. If it looks like a punk and quacks like a punk.....
I wonder if it would work with other types of music. Say bluegrass. Or has that already been done and called rockabilly?

Rock n Roll cover was good :)

Y'know, I have grown to like American Celtic rock. I like seeing American Irish breaking away from Irish trad but also staying true to it and making something else, although nothing will ever beat pure trad music in my opinion, this is a great delve into hard rock.

Used to love this band but they've sucked pretty hard since Blackout.
