i agree that AFI arent punk in the 1970's/80's definition of the word but by todays standards they're more punk than most. nowadays there is no such thing as proper punk anyway but you cant blame people for calling it that cos the media call them that.

and my first clash album was the first self titled. not sure what my first proper punk song was though!

Hardly i wouldnt consider them punk at all and yes i will and can blame people for not educating themselves.
