I am noticing that almost everyone who said biggie said "i like biggie better" ummm its not about who you like better, its about who IS better i mean none of you ever met any one of them. 2PAC by far is better i dont even know why biggie is in the same breath as 2pac . 2pac greatest ever

I think they both stink.
*bada pshh!* I'm embarrassed as a human being. |
I finally voted for Biggie. But the real better rapper: Ghostface Killah.
|
Biggie. Biggie has really sick flow one of, if not THE, best in the mainstream. 2pac has decent flow, some decent lyrics, and in my honest opinion BAD beats. Biggie on the other hand has sick flow, good lyrics, and good beats. Biggie.
I would also like to note, I think both are fairly overrated. I'm not a big fan of either. |

Yeah right, Ghost is infinitely better than Pac would have ever been.

Tupac commands your attention, but Ghost's shouting, relentless flow doesn't? Yeah right. Lyrics? Pac recycled a lot, and Ghost does not lack technical skill. Oh, and Ghostface Killah's imagery is fucking incredible, his narratives are some of the best around--his creative thinking exceeds Pac, undoubtedly. Oh, Ghostface Killah has a much better body of work than Pac. |
While adding onto what Jester is saying (because I agree),
I must be mistaken in assuming that Ghostface already had legendary status for being part of the legendary Wu-Tang? Edit: Also, never been a fan of either Biggie or Tupac. |
I like 2 pac better because he was more passionate...
But Biggie could tell one hell of a story, so he wasn't a slouch by any means. |
2pac anyday
|
Biggie his samples are so chill and I could relate to a lot of what he says. Not to mention his freestyles are sick.
|
I never got what's so great about Tupac, rap more than most genres is a cult of personality and I have always found him obnoxious and offputting for whatever reason.
People seem to consider him the better lyricist and I admit to not digging very deep into his work but nothing has wowed me really. Regardless. I take beats and flow over poetry when it comes to rap so Biggie has it in the bag. |
that's a toughie, i'll have to go with 2-Pac, always thought he had a better rhythm

talent wise? biggie wins.
but tupac takes the trophy cuz hes still alive... ...HE IS!!!! |
...is NOT!!
|
YES HE IS!!!!!
tupac is alive!!! |
Biggie is clearly better as far as flow goes. 2pac has better lyrics as far as meaning and emotion and passion, yet biggie's lyrics are more kick ass. But 2pac is deeper. ya know what im sayin
|
I actually don't get the whole "2pac was a poet" thing. I mean, compared to Biggie sure he's deeper. But it seems like people act like he's the ends all of poetic hip hop.
/shrug |
Dont compare those two
|
^ You're an idiot if you think Biggie and 2pac are not comparable.
And yeah, it's stupid when people argue that 2pac is the best because he "was a poet," or "his songs had real meaning behind them," or he "put real emotion and messages in his works." Yeah, because 2pac was sentient, no one else's art matters, and no one else has ever thought of writing raps with a message. Dumbass 2pac fans. :( |
I think Nas and Tupac are the main 2 thug-poets out there. Pac had some deeper, more sentimental songs, love his diversity.
I've always liked Biggie more though... Seems I always end up preferring east coast over west coast. But Biggie just had amazing flow and that bulky voice that just boomed. Pac and Biggie are really the only two guys that come to mind when I think of thug party songs... I can only imagine what the music world would be had they lived longer. Pac can be kinda hit or miss with me sometimes, I'm not always feelin his flow. But I like pretty much every Biggie song. His wordplay and flow are just on another level. |
No comparison 2 Pac lyrics are hard core and then Heart warming. Biggie is all about the xes n money.

Tupac Shakur, nuff said RIP. Me Against the World is amongst a vast variety of Legendary albums I think from the 1990's. Love it.
