i would like to listen to mos def, he seems like he would have talent, if his acting says anything about his music

I like his song Umi a lot.

I wouldn't say his music is too different from all the commerical stuff that's ou there now but I sense that there's real meaning and emotion behind his voice and or lyrics.
That's pretty much why I like him. That and because of his image and the origniality in his music.
It's not like every other song is about sex and I imagine videos that go with his songs don't have pictures of women performing degrading acts.

You're contradicting yourself...at first you saud he isnt too different from any of the commercial stuff out there...and then you proceed to say that you like him because of his Originality....

i am acting the part of a stereotypical female: indecisive.

I guess I should say that i don't know really know why I like him and can't begin to fathom the reasons either.

I against I is a song nobody has mentioned which is up there with the best. Black star is one of my favourite purchases in the last year.
