Yeah I think it was due to Marvel comics threatening to sue him unless he dropped the MF.

Seriously? I heard some noise about Marvel bringing suit against him for his use of the Dr. Doom image but did they really settle over the 'MF' in his name?
If this is true then I'm totally boycotting the Avengers movie.
