Question Jay Z's Black album?

What do people think of this new and final album? I haven't heard much from it, but it seems like it is better than his last couple albums. My favorite album of his was his first one, but this one is good too. What do you think?

I think he is one of those rappers that is all about what he has, than what he actually sings about, so I refuse to listen.. =X

Here's a thought; let's stop labeling music and fighting over what genre a certain band is, and start listening to whatever pleases our ears no matter what anyone thinks of it! ;)

I agree that he is sort of like that. He didn't use to be, though, and that's when he was best. Back in the day with his first album.

I have a feeling that hes going to come out with another album in like a year or something. but anyways, i think that is was alright...but he will never be able to drop anything like "reasonable doubt"

I agree. That was my favorite album of his. To be honest I don't really like any of his other albums. There are good songs here and there, but no album that's full (or almost full) of good songs like Reasonable Doubt is.

Good, not great.

I suggest you check out Danger Mouse's "The Grey Album".
He took all the acapella verses from the Black Album and remixed them over beats made entirely out of music from The Beatles White Album - it's not out yet, but the snippets sound RIDICULOUS.

I got the Black Album and it's pretty decent. My favorites are Encore, Lucifer, My Name is Hov, and 99 Problems (he "borrowed" this from an old school guy, but I forget who).
