Why do the tags say "dance, African, song, youtube"? Is he a real African?

if you mean he grew up in Africa no....

As for his music, its ok. Most of his song have dances based around them (at least the more popular ones). I really thought he would fade after his debut song "Crank That (Soulja Boy)" but he is still hanging in there....

On a side note i can't really take him seriously when he says and i quote:
Quote:
"Oh wait! Hold up! Shout out to the slave masters! Without them we'd still be in Africa. We wouldn't be here to get this ice and tattoos."
he is very ignorant i must say...

Soulja Boy was a much funnier rapper before he was famous.

Songs like Doo Doo Head got some play around my school.

lol. hey, I find it entertaining - and you can tell that he does too - that little genuine-ness (oh boy its getting late...) makes it more ' art ' than haf of the other mainstream **** that gets pumped through our televisions everyday/everyminute/everysecond - even if he's just joking anround and having fun with it... at least the original recording... the whole DIY thing made it alot more genuine for me at least.
the music video recording is just the post-stardom version, to make it more listenable for little girls etc.
