Sometimes threads go slightly off the subject matter, I haven't heard the album so I have no idea how I'd go about talking about the merits of it instead of talking about the hype surrounding it, when I hear it then that will be a different matter.

has anyone hear heard the album except for me though? i'd really love to hear some other members opinions on it instead of their opinions on pitchfork and rolling stone, because i can everywhere in the unpopular music opinions.

It's quite obvious that the critical consensus will get talked about before people hear the record, why have you got a problem with that?

However, I'd also like to hear someone else's thoughts. I'm intrigued.

I love the album, it's probably my favourite album he's ever done. No real weak tracks in my opinion. Have you listened to Power?

Haven't heard it yet. Haven't really even heard The College Drop Out all the way through. I'm greatly looking forward to this though. I think Monster was the best hip hop single in years so my first 'real' Kayne experience will probably be pretty good.
