I don't know. I saw it as a "I'm famous now, look at all the people that doubted me HAHA" kind of song. I think with lyrics such as "You're such a ****ing loser", "Everyone who doubted me is asking for forgiveness", "I'm Hannibal Lecter/So just in case you're thinking of saving face/You ain't gonna have no face to save/By the time I'm through with this place", they're at least directed to someone they're displeased with.

Kirby 02-04-2011 08:25 PM

I understand that. I meant that they're not aimed at one person. I would agree that, if aimed at anyone, just doubters in general.

BobLobLaw 02-04-2011 08:32 PM

That's what I meant, though.

I didn't think it was aimed at just one person, just haters in general.

From "Questions Over Coffee". Dose is the man.

question i: (well this one's more of a declaration)
jesus wasn't a carpenter he was a gardener...
sequenced order of split seconds before a pin drops
question ii: "let it be dead butterfly..."
sequenced order of split seconds before a pin drops
question iii: i am the only one like me;
subtitled (therefore symbol)
i am no better for any one for it though...
well seems all three were declarations
it's like i'm retaining water
then i turn around to take another sip of water
and it's like **** my water broke...splash.
war is in the imagination
or that's what the sidewalk chalk won't shut its mouth about
mel and i read with the best saved for last
"dream.love.be."
(sorta spoof on question 2)
well at least that's how i read it aloud
in my head with the punctuation and all
she might not have...
o.k.
here's my problem...
(like there's on and even if there was one,
like he knew what it was)
or at least the basic size and shape of it...
(the short and skinny if you will...)
blah blah blah blah...

I have been on a Chamillionaire kick lately and I just love this song

Chamillionaire - Ultimate Victory

I'ma thank you, when and what the album almost through
Thanks, I ain't never had a fan like you
Eazy E, Left Eye and Aaliyah too
Pac, Biggie, Hawk, Fat Pat and DJ Screw
I wanna thank you

(Thanks for opening my eyes and helping me to realize
That tomorrow ain't promised, Gotta live your life to the fullest
What's life if you ain't enjoying it, Know what I'm talking bout?)

My purpose really used to be so unclear
Science fiction with the swagger, it's so unreal
So fly that my nickname should be up here
Looking up is the only time when I appear
I'm a spartan, go ahead and throw your spear
Slap failure in the face and still show no fear
They say no show but I show like chea
The Champ's here, let the whole crowd know my cheer (Victory!)
The media, they write about you in the mags
Spread rumors about your life and break you is the task
I know one of my three publicists will ruin my chance
To let me let you know that I don't like you in advance
But I thank you and I extend their thanks too
To everybody saying stuff you know ain't true
You need to go and find god like Mase too
But just stay there with him and try and stay you
Getting away is important
I can pull a couple strings like a guitar hand
Better yet, bring out the whole guitar band
Grab grain, you can swang somewhere like Tarzan
I swear to y'all, the rap game really making me sick
The record industry's your home then I came to prevent
Put some nonsense out and I bet cha this one will stick
Or put some real music out and I'm probably gonna catch a brick
Brick on top of brick, we'll build a house
Tell whoever said that, I'm still filled with doubt
Told me I'm in the right hole and then sealed it out
Told me I'm on the right track and then killed my route
Ouch, you never miss a good thing til it's gone
Yeah, the flow is so fluid, it's like drinking a song
Don't get the track mister wrong, this ain't even a song
This is a beat that I must release therapy on
Everybody saying that they wanna see me successful
Came into the game but now I'm feeling let's go
Intimate moments never seem to be special
If you jet, then you can bet I'm disappearing like Crisco
Ala Kazaam, I ain't mad at the fans
I ain't mad at the man, they both scattered my brand
Never will understand what really matters to Cham
So matter of fact, the title is just a matter of plan (Victory!)
After revenge, it's the victory right
Well the final run's done and this the victory hype
Now that everybody's present and this victory night
Let me repaint the pic, they wasn't depicting me right
(Now Whatchu mean?) Tell the world that I'm more than just a grill
Show you how to put cha hands on more than a wood wheel
If that's all you hearing, then let me just be for real
Take your contract, the hell with a record deal
Keep thinking I'm gonna lose if you want to
Bet the tenth time, it more like a Yukon groove
That's why I always have to make the move on fools
Back on my feet like I got two gun shoes
Yeah, why you think Em probably going all crazy?
So why you think Britney Spears going bout baby?
Interview me, you think you know it all lady
I'm out of here, yeah but not before y'all pay me
Thank you

(I appreciate it
You know I'm used to power, respect and a million dollar check to do what I wanna do
And right now, I'm fitting to take a vacation
A real vacation though, Haha)
This the outro, I was gonna put it at the beginning
But this is what I say the moment after I'm winning

(Thank you, Ultimate Victory)

Niggaz thinkin **** sweet, I carry big heat
Wavy hair chipped teeth, up in this bitch deep
Queens murder clicks meet, yellow tapes on black gates
Mediterranean, projects is like Kuwait
I escape into zones, that's irregular
Why debate on a phone, I'm solar cellular
Escobar 600, you just a crumb inside a world
where the rich run it, curriculum of a mathologist
Deep throats, they try to swallow this
Anthropologists, dynasties of great knowledgists
I preserve in my dome, niggaz mics is full of silicone
Spot's blown, guerilla ice on this killer's life
I put my word on it
Now you can sleep on or rock a swerve on it
Nas is menage a trois' on Mount Aire lodges
We like a smooth fam', but rougher than how DeBarge is
Catchin charges, of marksmen, livin heartless
Grab a cartridge, **** my **** on some Mobb ****
We mobbin, puttin niggaz in mausoleums
From Queens cross the Throsnic, heads bop, I see 'em

Y'all niggas deal with emotions like bitches
What's sad is I love you 'cause you're my brother
You traded your soul for riches
My child, I've watched you grow up to be famous
And now I smile like a proud dad, watching his only son that made it
You seem to be only concerned with dissing women
Were you abused as a child, scared to smile, they called you ugly?
Well life is hard, hug me, don't reject me
Or make records to disrespect me, blatent or indirectly
In '88 you was getting chased through your building
Calling my crib and I ain't even give you my numbers
All I did was gave you a style for you to run with
Smiling in my face, glad to break bread with the god
Wearing Jaz chains, no tecs, no cash, no cars
No jail bars Jigga, no pies, no case
Just Hawaiian shirts, hanging with little Chase
You a fan, a phony, a fake, a pussy, a Stan
I still whip your ass, you thirty-six in a karate class
You Tae-bo hoe, tryna' work it out, you tryna' get brolic?
Ask me if I'm tryna' kick knowledge
Nah, I'm tryna' kick the **** you need to learn though
That ether, that **** that make your soul burn slow
Is he Dame Diddy, Dame Daddy or Dame Dummy?
Oh, I get it, you Biggie and he's Puffy
Rockefeller died of AIDS, that was the end of his chapter
And that's the guy y'all chose to name your company after?
Put it together, I rock hoes, y'all rock fellas
And now y'all try to take my spot, fellas?
Philly's hot rock fellas, put you in a dry spot, fellas
In a pine box with nine shots from my glock, fellas
Foxy got you hot 'cause you kept your face in her puss
What you think, you getting girls now 'cause of your looks?
Ne-gro please
You no mustache having, with whiskers like a rat
Compared to Beans you wack
And your man stabbed Un and made you take the blame
You ass, went from Jaz to hanging with Caine, to Herb, to Big
And, Eminem murdered you on your own ****
You a ****-riding ***got, you love the attention
Queens niggas run you niggas, ask Russell Simmons
Ha, R-O-C get gunned up and clapped quick
J.J. Evans get gunned up and clapped quick
Your whole damn record label gunned up and clapped quick
Shawn Carter to Jay-Z, damn you on Jaz ****
So little shorty's getting gunned up and clapped quick
How much of Biggie's rhymes is gonna come out your fat lips?
Wanted to be on every last one of my classics
You pop ****, apologize, nigga, just ask Kiss

Every night you hear the bullets blast
Even if you in the suburbs every night, you see the footage flash
across your screen, I'll tell you my biggest pet peeve
You lookin at it thinkin like, "It don't affect me"
You livin large I'm thinkin like, "It don't impress me"
Rockin them chains, Sojourner Truth is tryin to set free
It don't take a pro-fessor
to see the o-pressor got the whole treasure
Now how many Africans slain for one platinum chain on yo' dresser?
I'm no better just because I think I know better
Tell me who you trust when you're in your new truck
Some of us dyin over a few bucks, killers old enough to ride a school bus
With brothers like these tell me, who needs the Ku Klux?
Women walkin with titties out cause the truth sucks
It's time to breastfeed, knowledge is the best key
We got us pourin liquor out for all the dead G's
Rest? Please, in the grave you gettin less peace.

My music represent the change of power
From now on this thing is ours
Got em painting walls instead of painting flowers
They show their heroes with praises while we hanging ours
We bring the drums to the battle cause we bang the loudest
You don't know a thing about it
If you mix a King and Malcolm bet you that Kweli the outcome
Album is so hot that my ghetto chicks is bringing talcum
Whether you sing or shout it
They gave somebody else the crown, but I'm a king without it
Your queen is riding with me, she always sliding with me
You can't stop me like them bullets thats inside of 50
They try to diss me but whenever I say bye they miss me,
You walking with me or you alien like Mork & Mindy
You talk with me so often if you take it off the table
When the devil wanna label cause the lord is withe me
Arrogance bring fall of many
My name echo like the hall is empty you don't wanna war against me

Hey if this the cut I'm the surgeon
Assassinate your character cast aspersions
You ain't gotta verse better than my worst one
You ain't gotta verse better than my worst one
Hey, I know I hurt son, but you against me a .50 cal versus squirt gun
You ain't gotta verse better than my worst one
You ain't gotta verse better than my worst one

Why you and your mans some palookas you [?]
You see beyond the shadow of a doubt I'm born ready
Steady as the hand of the shooter
In the flesh yes the embodiment of man versus computer
I make all the women abandon they suitors
Do the math you see you can't measure up to the ruler
On behalf of all the fans and consumers
I'm building with Fred Hampton Jr. man we planning the future
Not preaching we do it different we lifting the youth up
We spitting it to tough too sick for these new thugs
Goons whatever they called they softer than nubuck
Vampires in the club sipping that True Blood
I'm a midnight marauder and a slaughter for the tribe
Immortal I'm busting at the cops like Mordecai
Just so the god'll mortify these clown ass rappers
Stand fortified live and you know it

[Sean Price:]
Sean Price mad nice accept that
My worst verse sound like your best rap
Put down your bet pack I pay double on trips
I punch you up in your face and double your lips
This be the dumbest **** I ever wrote
No Tupac Shakur just two shots you floor listen
The gun clapper the dumb rapper the young rapper
Dig in your pockets and leave with your funds faster
**** it new rap rookies
Get beat to death New Jack Pookie
Face ****ed with the 8 stuck in your grill
Play tough and get straped up in the 'Ville
Afro American minus the afro
Bald headed American letting the gat blow
Shut the **** up before you get hurt son
You ain't got a verse better than my worst one

I love this song, Talib Kweli ft. Sean Price - Palookas

Excuse my charisma, vodka with a spritzer
swagger down pat, call my **** Patricia
Young Money militia, and I am the commissioner
you don't want start Weezy, 'cause the F is for Finisher
so misunderstood, but what's a World without enigma?
two bitches at the same time, synchronized swimmers
got the girl twisted 'cause she open when you twist her
never met the bitch, but I f-ck her like I missed her
life is the bitch, and death is her sister
sleep is the cousin, what a f-ckin' family picture
you know father time, we all know mother nature
it's all in the family, but I am of no relation
no matter who's buying, I'm a celebration
black and white diamonds, f-ck segregation
f-ck that ****, my money up, you n-ggas just like Honey Nut
Young Money running **** and you n-ggas just runner-ups
I don't feel I've done enough, so I'ma keep on doing this ****
Lil Tunechi or Young Tunafish

[Lil Wayne Verse 2]
I'm going back in
okay, I lost my mind, it's somewhere out there stranded
I think you stand under me if you don't understand me
had my heart broken by this woman named Tammy
but hoes gon' be hoes, so I couldn't blame Tammy
just talked to moms, told her she the sweetest
I beat the beat up, call it self defense
swear man, I be seeing through these n-ggas like sequins
n-ggas think they He-Men, pow, pow, the end
talking to myself because I am my own consultant
married to the money, f-ck the world, that's adultery
you full of sh-t, you close your mouth and let yo ass talk
young Money eating, all you haters do is add salt
stop playing, bitch, I got this game on deadbolt
mind so sharp, I f-ck around and cut my head off
real n-gga all day and tomorrow
but these muthaf-ckas talking crazy like they jaw broke
glass half empty, half full, I'll spill ya
try me and run into a wall, outfielder
You know I'ma ball 'til they turn off the field lights
the fruits of my labor, I enjoy 'em while they still ripe
bitch, stop playing, I do it like a king do
if these n-ggas animals, then I'ma have a mink soon
tell 'em bitches I say put my name on the wall
I speak the truth, but I guess that's a foreign language to y'all
and I call it like I see it, and my glasses on
but most of y'all don't get the picture 'less the flash is on
satisfied with nothing, you don't know the half of it
Young Money, Cash Money
paper chasing, tell that paper, "Look, I'm right behind ya"
bitch, real G's move in silence like lasagna
people say I'm borderline crazy, sorta kinda
woman of my dreams, I don't sleep so I can't find her
you n-ggas are gelatin, peanuts to an elephant
I got through that sentence like a subject and a predicate
yeah, with a swag you would kill for
money too strong, pockets on bodybuilder
jumped in a wishing well, now wish me well
tell 'em kiss my ass, call it kiss and tell

Joe Budden - Whatever it Takes:

I guess depression just stepped in, an' took-over **** like it's known ta' do.
Guess it said, "Hey Joe, I'm goin' home wit'chu
Turn your phone off, I needa' be alone wit'chu
I needa' be in the zone wit'chu
'Cause I'm the only thing you prone to, nigga
Look, I own you, nigga!!
Been wit'chu since 10, but'chu startin' to confuse me
'Cause it's been so long, an' you still try'na lose me.
Like, how could you show me such cruelty?
When everybody turns their back on you, Joe it's you an' me.
Joe, you don't want me to see you right?
Then why you always come get me, how we re-unite?
Tell me! I know you feel for me deep in your heart;
Doctors, meetings, pills couldn't keep us apart.
But, now you got a deal an' you wanna get rid of me
But.. we're roommates, I'm in your head, Joe you live with me."
So I don't write for the fans, naw', I write to my man
In hopes that he'll just leave an' understand.
Like, like... please leave the kid in peace!
Let me smoke this one cig. in peace
Just leave for a second, man it's been too long, an' I can't troop it
As long as you around, I can't make that "dance music".

The Virgin 03-18-2011 03:19 AM

No matter gay, straight or bi
Lesbian, transgendered life
I'm on the right track

Fo definitelies.

"I see no changes all I see is racist faces
misplaced hate makes disgrace to races
We under, I wonder what it takes to make this
one better place, let's erase the wasted
Take the evil out the people they'll be acting right
'cause both black and white is smokin' crack tonight
And only time we chill is when we kill each other
it takes skill to be real, time to heal each other
And although it seems heaven sent
We ain't ready, to see a black President, uhh
It ain't a secret don't conceal the fact
the penitentiary's packed, and it's filled with blacks
But some things will never change
try to show another way but you stayin' in the dope game
Now tell me what's a mother to do
bein' real don't appeal to the brother in you
You gotta operate the easy way
"I made a G today" But you made it in a sleazy way
sellin' crack to the kid. " I gotta get paid,"
Well hey, well that's the way it is"

Childish Gambino - Freaks and Geeks

Alright, Gambino is the mastermind,
Fuck a bitch to the pass the time,
Mass appeal,
Orane rind,
Smoke your green, I'm spending mine,

The beat is witches brew,
But beware this shit is potent,
E.E. cumming on her face,
Now it's poetry in motion,

Yeah Gambino make it work,
I'm the boss, move somethin',
Yeah, this cool fucking suits me,
The swag, two button,

These girls be actin' crazy when they're dancin', Black Swan,
I ain't fuckin' at the club,
Put your clothes back on,
This beat is a disaster,
9/11 this track,
Rappers wanna battle me,
I have to mail their heads back,

And my clique make that dinero so it's time to meet the Fockers,
I am running this bitch,
You are just a dog walker,

Yeah you fuckin' with the baddest,
Like we tag team Rihanna,
Fly girl on her knees,
She don't wanna come near me,
Yeah, my dick is too big,
There's a big bang theory

Got her picture in my iphone,
What d'yall think?
While you niggas masturbate I'm in that Ariel Pink,
If I am just a rapper, man, you coulda fooled me,
I'm the shit,
When these dudes talk, they talkin' bull me.

[Verse 2]
Alright, I'm down with the black girls of every single culture,
Fillipino, Armenian girls on my sofa,
Yeah I like the white girls,
Sometimes we get together,
Need a thick chick, though, so it's black and yellow, black and yellow,

Love is a trip,
But fuckin' is a sport,
Are there Asian girls here?
Minority report,

Put your team on the map,
Blake Griffin on the court,
Niggas bitin' off my tracks,
Need a knife and a fork,

We the illest,
Need a nurse,
Here's the check,
Grab your purse,
Unless we fuckin', then I'll pay for all the food on the earth, maaaaaan,

I got some pussy that was insane,
So insane it's an enemy of Batman,

Niggas call me faggot cause they closeted,
I'm hot as shit,
Comin' out the backside of a rocket ship,
It's monster shit,
You dudes are the opposite of lochnesses,
Respond to this,
We can squash the beef right now like sausages,

Chillin' with my n-words,
Say it like a white kid,
Yes, your booty's big as hers,
Say that to my white bitch,
So she don't get embarrassed,
My dick is made of carrots,
Bunnies wanting to be fed and I meant honeys, oh forget it,

I have worked all winter,
I will not fail summer,
In the back of a bush like Gavin Rossdale's drummer,

Yeah my stinger's in her flower,
I hope she'll let me pollinate,
Working hard as shit,
Yeah, this beat is made from concentrate,

Nigga can't you tell that my sample of Adele,
Was so hot I got these hood niggas blowin' up my cell,

Swag out the ass,
I'm the man,
Fuck Chico,
Took the G out yo waffle,
All you got left is your ego,

Think about it for a second,
Man, we eatin', where's your breakfast?
Man, you hungry, have this sandwich,
Got my wallet,
Cheese and lettuce,

An elephant never forgets,
So my dick remembers everything,
Green inside your wallet is that pussy open sesame,

Running the game,
Fuck am I sayin'?
Runnin' the earth,
Give me a month,
Told ya'll niggas I'm in it to win it,
Cause having an Emmy just wasn't enough,
Get sloppy drunk,
I stay whiskey mean,
My clique should be cancelled--freaks and geeks.

nakrul 03-18-2011 06:56 AM

Eminem has it

I think Eminem has great song lyrics. You can random pick one of his songs and you'll hear that magic flow and well fitted lyrics.

Senim Silla:
The world's a violent place baby, there ain't no more innocence
Or civil men or penatence, just
Ignorance cast on the right from wrong
They mimic shit they see on TV or hear in a song
What that tell you they on?
A sucka act up every minute
The righteous live on but the the niggas are infinite

onebelo:
I ain't hardcore, I don't pack a 9 millimeter
Most of y'all gangster rappers ain't hardcore neither
Whoever get mad then I'm talkin 'bout you
Claim you fear no man but never walk without crew
Where I'm from, your reputation don't mean jack
So what you pack gats and you sell fiend's crack
You ain't big time, my man
You ain't no different from the next cat in my neigberhood who did time
Rhyme after rhyme it's the same topic
What makes you think you hardcore cuz you was raised in the projects
Broke ass finally got a hundred in your pocket
Now you on the mic spittin' money's no object
What you say is bullcrap
If you wasn't with your crew and wasn't drunk off the brew
Would you still pull gats?
You need to stop frontin'
Or you're headed for self destruction

Haha, well. You know how sometimes you get nostalgic when you listen to music and it makes you think about memories? I've got some good ones associated with Binary Star!

Another of my favourite songs ever is:

This was the first hip-hop song I ever heard that I really loved, a mate played it too me, I couldn't stop listening to it, I went out and bought the album and fell in love with the whole genre!

I roll with the fo' sho' logo, the open eye. Dilated.

Kinda wish Ev would stop doing solo stuff, it's been forking ages since a dilated release.

Yeah, it's a great ****in verse. "Got everybody ridin' on my wagon like the Amish".

Really started looking at this song and realized how well written it is. Poetry.

Sister sits on the steps
Cigarette rests on fingertips
Takes a sip of slow death deftly through her lips,
She blows a kiss
Which I can only resist in vain
She got the gift of gravity pulling to ask her name
She says Sagaba
What's it mean she says in Ilocano
it translates into suffering
I'm pondering the irony to conjure up the fearlessness to find a conversation
She offers me a square, I decline the invitation
It reminds me of the days when I would chain smoke
Broken with no hope
Like broken like the manner she spoke
We both
Two people seeking
Solace and remembrance
And wondering if miracles were meant for us
But intent was just an innocent thought between a sister and a brother
Who been building in the guidance of a mother
And the storyteller stops
Waiting for the beat to drop
Gathering his thoughts in the wind, breathing in like...

Now
I couldn't stand to see the queen breathe her dreams away
And tell me her tomorrow will never become today
I say I used to know a woman just like you,
Beautiful but jaded by the multitude of men who'd often try to
Justify their lies with twisted notions of survival
And hide behind their armor when karma completes a cycle
She replied
That just because I knew a woman well it doesn't mean I know them all
She begins to bade farewell
Eyes up to the sky, she sighs, I need nobody
True indeed, sister, but you still need everybody because
We hardly know ourselves if we know nobody else
And only in our loneliness can home become a hell
Exhale
The cloud in the loudest form of silence
Watches as it rises like suns over horizons
The storyteller stops
Waiting for the beat to drop
Gathering his thoughts in the cloud, breathing out like...

Dreams be the ashes
Burns and thrashing in the wind
Flying out the burning bush attached to sister's hand
Who whispers "word"
Smiling and giving thanks, living in doubt no longer
As she figures out the riddle to the song
Saying why must we suffer now and not suffer later if later
Never comes soon enough to soothe the hatred
And hatred
Is the cancer born out of love's absence
And the absence is the void left from missing every chance to
Challenge our fates and perhaps our very names
Sister says peace and prayers for rain and change
Tosses out her lighter
Walks out of the cipher
For shizzle it starts to drizzle and then I begin to write this
Inhale the imagery a queen walking steadily
Effortlessly
Ready to be
Every woman and now the
Story teller ends
Waiting for the beat to fade
Gathering his thought near the edge of the day like...

Blue Scholars?

Geo is a great lyricist.

Some of the best lyrics I've heard, definitely from the last 10 years.

Yeah for sure, he is really good. What do you think of Ra Scion? Out of the two groups I prefer Blue Scholars too Common Market, but both are awesome.

I think Geo's a better lyricist and rapper
but Common Market are still good.

Do you know the date Cinematropolis drops?

Yeah I like Geo's work better than RA Scion, and I think Blue Scholars self-titled is my favorite of any of the group's albums... but I kind of prefer Sabzi's work with Common Market overall.

As for Cinemetropolis- set for June, but you can get it early... Independently released, all the info is here: Project | Blue Scholars

Rhymes Like Dimes - MF DooM

Everything this man says knocks me back....

This rhyme flow take practice like Tae Bo
With Billy Blanks
"Oh, you're too kind!" "Really? Thanks."
To the gone and lost forever like "O My Darling Clementine"
He hold his heart when he tellin' rhymes
When it's his time, I hope his soul go to Heaven
He's nasty like the old time Old Number Seven
You still taste it when you chase it with the Coca-Cola
Make you wish they coulda erased out the Motorola
I told her - no credit for it back
If you want what they got, then go get it, it's all gak
Only in America could you find a way to make a healthy buck
And still keep your attitude on self-destruct

hoof123 03-25-2011 06:50 AM

Thanks for the information on Cinemetropolis! I want to pledge $25, but I'm just waiting for a reply to one of the comments on the project asking if they will ship to Europe.

"Walang Natira" by Gloc 9

Napakaraming guro dito sa amin, ngunit bakit tila walang natira?
Napakaraming nurse dito sa amin, ngunit bakit tila walang natira?
Nag-aabroad sila...

translation:

There's so many teachers in our land, why no one is left?
There's so many nurses in our land, why no one is left?
They're going abroad.

(This song talks about Filipino workers who has to work in other countries to earn money since Philippine unemployment is increasing and the only way majority here are able to feed their family is by means of working as nurse/teachers/care givers in other countries. it's a pretty sad song actually about our Nation)
