Lil' Wayne steals Rolling Stones song
Why is sampling not okay...
Here's why. It's not bad enough that it's cliche and horrible; this song gives no credit to anyone, it's a rip-off. Here is why Why is popular hip-hop the worst example of the genre. |

Lol I have the album, pretty sure he does credit the Stones. You don't even have to get the album to see that it mentions it on sites listing the album information like wikipedia for instance.
|
I have the album too and it's not listed anywhere
Just double checked EDIT: as a matter of fact he was sued it turns out. The biggest crime is the song the album is horrible. |
What's wrong with the album?
|
A lot of filler tracks, and songs carried by the beats.
Lil Wayne's strength as I see it is that he is a truly talented emcee. He can flow. This album depends on production mostly which makes it feel like a forced release to capitalize on his popularity. The song in question is a good example, very choppy and mediocre lyrics and the beat overwhelms the flow. Maybe I just don't get it. Good question by the way. |
Pfffft. Nothing new. I just think it's funny that these rappers are ripping songs off huge bands. You would think that they would have the sense, if they were going to plagiarize, to at least copy something that not many people have heard before.
What was Vanilla Ice's excuse again? |
Fucking amateurs
THIS is how you rip the Stones off ^^ Was at that gig :D |
