Overexposure is the key, yes. Anytime you can push through a million downloads in one day, of a song that, in my noob opinion, is not very good at all you are certainly not lacking in the exposure area. I admire him for being a "martian" and making a name, bu why wear a guitar if you are only gonna hit like 3 notes in a song

He's just jumping on the "rockstar" bandwagon like alot of non-rock popstars try to do. Guitar is the universal symbol of the rock musician and every pop star wants that kind of recognition but like every pop star from the last two generations , Weezy has failed to realize that being a real musician is work and is an endeavor that takes years to achieve.

He should sit down with a real guitar teacher and learn the right way and not even appear onstage with a guitar again until he can play more than "Mary Had a Little Lamb" (which he can't even play now). By strutting around onstage with a guitar strapped around his back like some hip accessory to his credibility, he's an insult to all real musicians who seriously studied with a teacher or holed themselves up in their bedroom for years learning how to play.

He's an ok rapper. Good but way over-rated I think.

It makes me sad that Tech N9ne talked about this idea, along with Krizz Kaliko, back in 06.

I hope their group, Kabosh, still sees the light of day...

Here's their only track so far.

ahhhhh, weezy f baby. always trying new things, and always making them work. i think he could go country, and still be able to maintain the hype that he's got going now. that must mean something. personally, i like him. he's fun to me.

To be honest, Rebirth has very little hype. Hell, the album just got pushed again because Prom Queen hasnt made enough of an impact on the charts.
