I still think Dedication 2 is in a league of its own for Lil Wayne and a lot of new Hip Hop I've heard. The beat selection is classic and perfect when the contemporary hits around its time hit around the second half (although i'm not too hot on that half anyway), and Lil Wayne's total package of lyrics, flow, delivery, etc. are all incredibly dynamic and impeccable. My only problem is how much talking there is on every song, but i can get over it for the perfection Wayne lays down on here. This is definitely a fine album among mixtapes, and a new template for what mainstream rappers need to be doing. Anyone who doubts Wayne and hasn't heard his extended discography should definitely check it out. And even if you've heard it and you still hate it, listen to it again. It won't hurt you none.
That being said, 6'7' is insanely good! If the Carter IV is going to be in the vein of that lyrically and stylistically along with some more focused and diverse songs like on the III'd installment, I think this could be one of the best things Lil Wayne's put out yet.
