Anything from The roots - things fall apart If not the best hip-hop cd its easily top 5

Eyedea, Mos Def, Talib Kweli... And you said you'd heard popular rap, so you may have already heard Wu Tang Clan, but they are classic.

A lot of people don't get why I don't like Mos Def. I just don't really dig him.

Talib Kweli is beastly, though.

I love Eyedea because he's such a great poet; his rhymes never sound forced, and he even uses assonance and consonance :D
