Trying to get into rap

I don't like rap much (from what I've heard anyway) but I'm trying to give it a shot. What albums do you think I should I get?

Check out DJ Shadow and try out alternative hip-hop first.
Later check NWA's Straight Outta Compton, always a good start.

Will Smith is catchy hip-hop/rap, check out Lost & Found.
RUN-D.M.C have fun, catchy old-school rap.

What kind of music do you like? There's a wide variety of hip-hop styles out there, knowing your preferences might help to narrow down some suggestions.

I'd recommend Game Theory by the Roots, they do hip hop, but with :thumb: guitars in it :thumb:
+ it's a great record imo

check sis out:

it's a video combining three of their songs of the album
- in the music (my favorite on the album)
- here I come
- game theory

Aesop Rock's None Shall Pass is an extremely accessible hip hop album, try starting there.
