Because I imagine that most people have not met you and asked your opinion on this subject. I'm not excusing it, but there is a reality of people being ignorant. Step one could be to only take things immediately directed at you personally.

In English we do not have a word that is as confrontational and abrasive to call someone who you simply wish to antagonize. I mean I guess you could them a nigger but that only works on black people. You can call someone a ***got without being homophobic simply because you might just want to be as disrespectful as possible and sorry, gays, but this guy just rearended me without insurance and is trying to blame the accident on me.
