I know some people were disappointed with Attack & Release, but I really like the direction he took it in. Bit of a stretch for the band but I think it still turned out to be a pretty decent album.

Attack & Release was certainly no Thickfreakness or Rubber Factory but the fact that they're continuing with the style that made them popular is nice. Wish I could say the same for another garage rock/ blues rock revival duo from Detroit...

I don't know enough about production to really name 10.

But I will say, my 2 absolute favorite are RZA! and DJ Premier!

Some of Premo's beats for Nas are just perfect. And RZA is just awesome. I especially like those grimey beats that just go awesome with the Wu. Just such an original sound by some real niggas

Dilla
RZA
Premo
9th Wonder
Madlib
Nujabes
Jazz
Doom
Pete Rock
Prince Paul

Dilla, RZA, and Premo are one-two-three but the rest are in no particular order.

I think I always let my hate for Kanye always seeming like a huge douche mask the fact that he's super talented. And because I really hate him as a rapper sometimes... but his stuff is really impressive and he doesn't take a back seat to many production wise. Dude is mad creative and skilled

He is a douche, a very talented emcee, and a decent producer. Which puts him above a lot of people active in the hip hop world.

I think being a talented rapper/decent producer is a lot different than being a talented producer/decent rapper.
