its a decent album, his beats are alot more popular sounding, almost like club music but theres still some really good songs on their.

my favs in this order.

A star is Born (j.cole is disgusting!)
Empire state of mind
Hate (Jay's verse makes the song alright)
Venus vs Mars (its a neat idea.)
So Ambitious

I bought the new Jay-z album and the new fabolous album. Even though fabolous's lyrics aren't that great on this album, the beats and music (and catchiness) kick the crap out of the music on Jay-Z's new album. Jay-Z needs beats with more balls, and not some emphemeral, floating on a cloud like feeling that puts you to sleep. He just should have stole the music from fabolous, rapped on those tracks and called it a day. I have listened to fabolous's album on a ratio of 10 to 1. Actually, I may have listened to them exactly that many times.

"Go hard today, can't worry about the past cause' that was yesterday, i'ma put it on the line cause it's my time" -Fabolous "It's My Time"

[QUOTE=QuickDime;737829]Wow, I am on the other side of the fence with most of these comments, first of all, to answer. Jay is the best MC's because he is the most consistent in the most categories. The things that he has accomplished in the music industry, I’m not even talking business or any of that stuff, is phenomenal. He has the best flows, voice, and wittiness’, most of his lyrics have double or even triple meanings. There is really no one close in the MC world.

I love that we have all these catagories in rap to tell who is the best. It's funny. As Jay says:

"I'm leading the league in at least six statistical categories right now
Best flow, Most consistent, Realest stories
Most charisma, I set the most trends
And my interviews are hotter"-from Jay-Z's "Breathe Easy"

BP 3 is out of this world. If you don't think so, then your not listening to the words.

"Let's talk about the future/ We've just witnessed the dream as predicted by Martin Luther/ And you chose to /sit infront of your computers with guns/ shooting Youtube Up?"

I'd much rather listen to this than...Great depression rap.
