Default Freestyle Fellowship

A criminally slept on L.A. underground hip hop group; like the truest sense of jazz rap because of the way they flow together. One of the most influential groups of all-time, they bounce off of each other or cut into each other like seasoned jazz musicians--I honestly cannot think of a group with more group chemistry than these guys. That, and they basically coined the term freestyle to mean improvisational rap. Before them, freestyling was more like kicking a flow that was often written.

Freestyle Fellowship is compromised of 4 rappers: Myka 9, Aceyalone, Self Jupiter, and P.E.A.C.E.

Myka 9 is one of the most stylistically advanced rappers/lyricists of all-time, especially for his time. He basically gave birth to the half sung half rap style that Ol' Dirty Bastard and Bone Thugs-n-Harmony are recognized for (Bone Thugs get their whole style from Freestyle Fellowship, actually, they're just not even half as exciting as FF.)

Aceyalone is in my top 5 emcees. He's one of the most creative and thoughtful rappers of all-time, and his intricate rhyming style is also widely praised by critics. (However, if you want to see Aceyalone absolutely tearing it, then check his first two solo albums. Let me know if you're interested, I'd be more than glad to hook anyone up.)

P.E.A.C.E. is recognized for his fast, choppy flow, which basically inspired the Southern rap style.

Self Jupiter is like the Inspectah Deck of the group; he's a good rapper, but he shines best when he's bouncing off of other personalities, otherwise he might get boring. Still good, though

Yeah, they're good. I can't think of a thing to say about them that you haven't already said.

Haiku D'Etat is also good..
