The guy can rap over anything.

Not bad.

I can't remember the track but I heard one back in 2010ish and it was so laughably bad I always just thought he was a joke rapper tbh.

Sod it though I'm gonna get some of his stuff.

Honestly, I have never listened to one of his albums because like you I heard some of his jokey stuff and it just turned me completely off but I may check out some of his more serious stuff from the web chart.

Goofle 03-17-2014 09:08 AM

The only album of his that I like is I'm Gay but I've hardly listened to his discography.

LEGENDARY VERY SECRETE GAME!!! MUST PLAY!!!

I've already put a good couple of hours into it. I don't know if I can ever hear the Ellen Degeneres remix again.

This is the Lil B I like. More of a serious tone.

DwnWthVwls 03-04-2015 04:59 PM

^I can get down with this song. It's not great but it's cool.

i'm sorry, but

nice message and all but corny as **** imo. no black person is ugly? has he even seen the movie precious?

reminds me of this

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUqLGRMrFA g(remove the space)

i can't embed that video cause of the cesnors on this site

if im gonna listen to pro black anthems i'd rather have something like this

i can overlook the fact they hate my guts cause the song goes hard

and i like this one for the surreal soviet esque propaganda anthem aspect

Surell 03-05-2015 10:54 PM

"no black person is ugly" isn't literal, it's just that kinda "black is beautiful" rhetoric that means to counter the usual ideas surrounding beauty that seem to prefer whiteness. and stuff.

"my president is black" used to be my shit in 9th grade, Jeezy was actually pretty killer for awhile.

John Wilkes Booth 03-09-2015 11:11 AM

yea i realized it wasn't literal i was just making an immature joke

but i guess sometimes PC messages strike me as corny in music

i actually support the messages ideologically but for some reason feel like a twat listening to it in song form. prime example - that pro gay macklemore song

it all seems a bit soviet-esque the when artists use their platform to further the liberal zeitgeist. feels like being force fed propaganda through peer pressure. though if it is over the top enough like the jeezy song then i can enjoy it just for the surreal absurdity of it all.

but on a second listen i will say the lil b song isn't bad. it is a bit corny but at least it's catchy at the same time. where as nas - i can is just over the top cornyness that i can't help but mock. the classical sample... the kids in the chorus.... the after school special style lyrics.... too much cringe lol

I Can is a dope track. You ever hear this track? Good album minus the poppy crap.
